About Aga de Zwart
Aga de Zwart is a Structural Integration Bodywork Practitioner and an owner of Gravity Therapy. She is a professional member of the International Association of Structural Integration Practitioners (IASI) and a member of Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC). She was also a member of two professional engineering associations: APEGA and APEGBC.
Aga's educational background is in Engineering which she studied at the University of Calgary. There, she gained a solid understanding in the laws of physic. Not realizing that working with the human body and its structure would be part of her future career, she chose to design an ergonomic chair as part of her first year independent project. After graduating she spent a decade working in the hi-tech industry, first specializing in the field of satellite navigation, and then transferring her skills to the field of medical engineering. There, Aga was designing integrated solutions to improve in and out of hospital resuscitation outcomes. Aga was thrilled to learn about the human heart and to work with the high profile educational hospitals like the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Centre in New Hampshire.
Aga's life was transformed when she received the Ten Series. At the time she was living in Boulder, CO and struggling with the chronic pain. She was drawn to study Structural Integration to help people who were in pain like she was. After graduating in 2003, Aga was inspired by Dr. Ida Rolf's words: "...when the body gets working appropriately, the force of gravity can flow though. Then, spontaneously the body heals itself", and named her practice Gravity Therapy. She has practiced in Boulder CO, South Island New Zealand and now in Nelson, BC.
